Avoid expensive mistakes, hire only a "hardwood floor" specialist
These pictures are an example of a beautifully finished floor in a townhouse in Pacific Palisades, California. Unfortunately we were called in when these homeowners used a company recommended by their general contractor, instead of calling a contractor who specializes in hardwood floors, and found the new floor finish peeling in several places. To repair this we had to sand everything to raw wood again, stain the floor with Dura Steal stain, let the stain "dry sufficiently: and then apply three coats of Duraclear poly to finish. This was mistake that could have easily been avoided by allowing the stain to dry sufficiently before applying the finish, it cost the homeowner $6500.00.
